After a rewarding meeting with the Editorial Board, it was unanimously decided to change the look of the NGO Reporter while committing to further inclusion from all NGO DPI Associates. Annual Meeting Announcements
The Annual Meeting of the NGO DPI Executive Committee was held on June 30, 2011. At this time elections we held for open positions on the Executive Committee. Two Officers elected were Charles Hitchcock, who represents Peace Action, selected as Chair, and Kelly Roberts, representing NAFSA: Association of International Educators, who was elected Secretary. New Board Members are Victoria Edmonds, Salvation Army; Jo Anne Murphy, Fairleigh Dickinson University; Carl Murrell, National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the U.S.; C. Eduardo Vargas, Intersections International and Frances Zainoeddin; Association of Former International Civil Servants. New Board Members will serve a two year term and are eligible to run for a second term. Re-elected for a second term were Eva Richter: International Federation of Business and Professional Women and Hiro Sakurai; Soka Gakkai International. Nine additional Board members and four non-voting regional representatives complete the composition of the NGO DPI Executive Committee. Ex Officio non-voting Members of the Executive Committee are the Immediate Past Chair; a representative of CONGO (the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations); a representative of the World Federation of United Nations Associations; and a representative of the United Nations Association of the USA.
